Complete Home Makeover in Palm Harbor

This project by far was one of our favorites from this year. We received a call from our cabinet supplier about a customer that resides out of state but needed some help renovating their vacation home located in Palm Harbor. We met with the client and discussed different ideas and approaches to this particular project and came up with a plan that would work for everyone involved. This project involved a complete kitchen renovation, a complete master bathroom renovation, remodeling in the dining room, remodeling in the guest bathroom, and new flooring throughout the home. Everything on the project from day one just worked perfectly. The cabinets that the client decided to go with in the kitchen from our friends over at Palm Harbor Kitchens really transformed this dated space into an incredible entertaining area. We added some structural changes to this area as well to open the room up so it wasn't so confining. The finished product really gives the home an amazing new feel. In the master bathroom, the client decided to do away with the standard bathtub and add a stand up shower. The new cabinetry from Palm Harbor Kitchens added a much needed contemporary feel to the room. The tile work in the shower turned out amazing and gives the shower look that is second to none. The addition of the custom lighting and mirror was the finishing touch that would look right at home in an any upscale locale.  In the guest bathroom, we added another great custom vanity from the folks over at Palm Harbor Kitchens along with custom lighting and a new vanity mirror. The dining area gave us the challenge of removing an existing fireplace that the client never used. When the room was complete, you would never have known the fireplace existed. The finishing touch in the home was the addition of the vinyl plank flooring throughout. This flooring gave the home a beach feel and looks great and will stand up to anything that comes its way because of its durability and lasting properties. Take a look at this finished project:

Kitchen Tile Backsplash in Trinity

This smaller project was recently installed as part of a larger home renovation that we completed for a client in Trinity. The client wanted a new look for her kitchen that would really give their guests that 'wow' factor when entertaining. I think we more than accomplished our mission. The client went with a tile from a local supplier that really accented the cabinets and the countertop perfectly. This is just one example of a project that can be completed in minimal time and not break the budget and turn a boring kitchen into a stunning show place.

Kitchen Remodel in Clearwater

One problem manufactured homes have always had throughout their history is the products the manufacturer's install in them aren't always the best. Take this home for example. This home was just purchased by a retiree in Clearwater and the kitchen in the home had seen much better days. It was extremely dated to say the least but we had some ideas to breathe new life into this unit. The client chose to go with a relatively high end cabinet with auto-closing drawers and doors. The white painted shaker style really adds some flair to the room. We added a built in pantry, a larger island, new laminate flooring, and relocated a few of the appliances. The look was finished off with some new lighting and a fantastic tile backsplash. Scroll down for some before pictures.

Kitchen Remodel in Holiday, On a Budget!

Here at DCI Home Improvements we listen to the client. It is not about up-selling or pushing a client to a product or a renovation that they can't afford. We are in the business of giving people exactly what they want. If you are looking to have a portion of your home remodeled and can't necessarily afford the best of the best, we are still able to help. Take this kitchen into consideration. The client lives in a modest home in the town of Holiday and didn't want to break the bank with a kitchen remodel as a very expensive remodel just didn't make sense for the house. We went in and listened to what the client wanted and delivered on exactly that. We were able to get a quality American made cabinet that was within the project specifications. We saved the client some money by installing a traditional formica countertop instead of a more modern stone. We added a new lighting area in the ceiling with a custom fixture. We were even able to add little touches like a custom island. The client purchased his own new appliances including a new sink and faucet. We also added a custom tile backsplash for the finishing touch. All of this and the total renovation cost was under $10k! It can be done!

Custom Barndoor installation in New Port Richey

Barn doors are all the rage in renovations today. You can purchase pre-made units or have a custom unit built. This is another great project that we finished up for a client in New Port Richey. They had and existing double entryway that they wanted to expand and open up which entailed the installation of a new header and support columns. They also wanted the ability to move all of the doors independent of each other. We found a track that would work for this installation and it turned out great.
